So, remember that guy who used to have a blog about his experiences in Japan?
I don't even know if I have readers anymore! Bummer. I'll clean the dust anyway.
I thought about making a comeback to The Wakaranai Express because this year's (or is gonna be) special. I'm 20 now, look at that! Funny thing's that around 17 I used to think I was pretty 'advanced for my age' and now I feel like the most childish of all grown-ups. I also realized that half of my scholarship period is gone already. Then I started thinking that I haven't suggested any new dramas, CD's, touristic places or anything here anymore. The idea that I am not enjoying my time properly in Japan got me scared, but motivated: I guess this year we should go back to the origins.
Anyway, this is the starters post! What's been happening lately? Well, I don't know if there's much, but at least I can now write in my curriculum: I have programmed a mini-robot to do morning exercises and I can now cook good Curry. Close enough? Hi-five? Alright.
I had a lot of wishes and special planning for this year, but I guess I only need two things right now:
1) I'll study hard and get a good score in the JLPT!
2) I'll finish one song this year. I hope I can finish it until May, though.
oops, I lied. I need three:
3) I want to learn how to play guitar!
Oh and I finally have good material for a next post, because I had Nay-Nay-Nayla-! over for New Years and we went to a temple in the first day of 2012! Something good must be coming our way. Besides loving the bustling of a town and the wonderful japanese cuisine, temples and fresh air are always welcome as well. Other good things about this year is that we finally have a himym group with Vivi, Tommi, Noora and special guests Yasu and Junki so I can complain a lot to different people, which means at least they don't get tired of me really fast ;P Besides, we're very unique: me and Vivi apparently get really happy when drunk, Tommi fancies Super Mario plushies and Noora gets a membership card whenever she's tipsy! We're normal :)
I'm still in the mission 'managing to make more serious Japanese friends', though. Never mind. We shall prevail!
Stay tuned, for I SHALL be back!

Arena Grand Opening.
Here we go! A few weeks ago I asked people for some serious topics I could write about in here (because my mood hasn't been very good recently and that helps me write better) on Facebook. Dear friends, here we have them (I'm just writing them down so I can remember properly)! What I liked about those topics is that it is impossible to give them concrete answers, so it's going to be pure discussion. Counting on you guys!
Amanda Yano suggested that eternal struggle that chases us since High School: "Identity : you name it or others do?"
Toni came up with something that I think people from TUFS understand specially well: "How much of your plans do you actually fulfill?"
Balint gave me my favorite topic: "How do you deal with any kind of ideal or cultural difference?"
Yuri said something similar to Amanda, but I'd like to write it separately, because it deals with "attitude: doing the right thing or the common thing? I'll probably adapt all those to the Japanese environment, though, forgive me if I do. Wait for the next posts!
